Team Supervision: · Plan, prioritize, assign, and review work of shift staff (Operators, Fitters, Electricians). · Ensure manpower under supervision is effectively utilized and managed. · Provide first-level management and oversight; handle personnel actions when required. · Act as departmental representative during the absence of the Department Head. Monitoring & Reporting: · Conduct routine and special sampling; ensure timely lab analysis and respond to results. · Maintain daily reports, plant logbooks, hazardous waste data, and statutory records (e.g., GPCB visits, monthly Patrak). · Report operational and laboratory data to top management. Compliance & Coordination: · Ensure compliance with GPCB norms and environmental regulations. · Coordinate with Maintenance, Laboratory, and Commercial teams for smooth operation. · Coordinate during plant shutdowns/breakdowns and ensure minimal process impact. · Assist external Environmental Auditors; prepare data and reports as required. Safety & Permits: · Enforce safety standards during plant operations. · Issue work permits and ensure jobs are executed with full safety measures in place. · Maintain plant security and emergency protocols. Qualifications & Skills: · Diploma/B.E. in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field. · Minimum 4–6 years of relevant CETP or ETP operational experience. · Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and equipment. · Familiarity with GPCB norms and documentation. · Leadership and team management skills. · Basic computer skills (MS Office, SCADA system knowledge preferred).
